My question is would you attach the stringers to a concrete pad that is floating (without a frost line footer)??
Would there be concern for frost heave if the stringers were firmly attached to the pad??
I’m in Central New York and in the process of finish a deck remodel!! I know the concrete landing pad is without footer support!! Should I attach the stringer assembly permanately to the concrete or leave it unattached to allow some sliding compensation if there is frost heave??
