Possible bug in your Calculations for Deck Stairs

I am Calculating steps for a 27" Rise. I ran the calculations two ways. First one "outside frame level with deck" and it calculated a total run of 41.52". Second calculation was "outside frame first rise below deck" and it was the same Total Run 41.52"? Should this not be one unit run shorter (31.14") because your using the deck for one of the rises? Am I missing something here?
I did hit the calculate button after I made changes.
