can you install a 6x6 post to concrete patio pavers?

I had a patio installed two years ago, it has approx 3 feet of stone/chip/sand mix under it, obviously post hole digging concerns me due to shifting existing stone work, is there any way to secure the post the pavers e.g. use rebarb and hammer down 3 ft and affix a bracket of some sort to it tying in the post?
